Above anything else, I gained an understanding of another culture, and the ways in which it, as a European culture, is similar to and different from the American culture in which I grew up. Studying abroad was absolutely a worthwhile experience. A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review

I was very independent while abroad which I think was good for me. I think some of the best parts of being abroad is just being able to live the day-to-day life in another culture. I also loved being able to visit a ton of Parisian museums (mostly free, thanks to being a local student). My french skills definitely improved, most... I found that in addition to my French developing, I learned what it's like to live in the middle of a city and navigate it, how to cope with cultural differences—including with the people I live with—and, above all, how to deal with having a lot of free time and alone time. I think it was very worthwhile, and I exit a more matur... A student - Tufts University View Entire Review
