It was definitely a worthwhile experience. I gained the experience of living in another country, which is something I have always planned to do, and I will take that experience with me to the next place I end up. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
100% worthwhile! I feel that I grew as a person, became more independent, and worldly. I expanded my horizons, tried new, fun, cultural things, and made friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. student12345 - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was worth-while. I gained valuable skills largely regarding how to be an independent and self sufficient adult, while still, obviously, having a blast. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I gained a new level of self confidence and indolence from traversing new and foreign cities on my own, I gained a greater appreciation for and understanding of the EU-- particularly Ireland and her history. Callie Ramsey - Washington & Lee University View Entire Review

I wouldn't give up this experience for the world. I am definitely a changed person since studying abroad, and I made tons of local, lifelong friends. A few of them even came to visit me at home this summer! I am so glad I decided to study abroad in Ireland, and that I really put myself out there in the local social environment. ... I learned how to be self-sufficient, how to adapt to new situations, and make new relationships with all different types of people. I also learned how many amazing cultures and opportunities there are in the world, and we should take advantage of all that we can. It was absolutely worthwhile, and I would go back in a heartbeat... It was honestly the best experience of my life! I came back so much more confident and knowledgeable about myself. I cannot say enough good things about the overall experience. I would highly recommend going abroad to any college student. I gave 9 instead of 10 stars due to lack of organization on IFSA's part. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I was able to gain not only an immense knowledge of Ireland itself, but also how to adapt to a new country, the ways to navigate a foreign academic system, and the flexibility needed to understand what it is like to be an international student. A student - Colgate University View Entire Review
I learned how to be independent! I learned how to travel alone, explore cities alone, and be happy being alone. I spent plenty of time with friends and socializing, but being away from my good friends back home meant I had to both make new friends and be contented being by myself. This, I believe, is a valuable life lesson. A student - Cornell University View Entire Review
