While perhaps less exotic than some other cities/countries, Dublin is a wonderful city that will be immediately comfortable for Americans (not just because they speak English). The city is great and filled with lots of young people/students from Ireland and around Europe, and Dublin is a Ryanair hub so traveling is super cheap and convenient.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Dublin is expensive, especially if you want to go out a lot.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $300, but traveled a bunch
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook a lot, groceries are cheap but restaurants/ pubs are expensive.
