New virtual study abroad program for Europe. Join Arcadia faculty in London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Granada or Rome for a range of fascinating online courses and internships to earn up to nine credits in eight weeks. Choose one course per session and add on an internship if you wish. Virtual internship placements* are with employers in London, Dublin, Edinburgh, or Rome.
This innovative program will enable you to have a version of study abroad, joining an online community of students taught by Arcadia faculty overseas who are eager to bring you into the world of their course and of their location. Let’s make the most of Summer 2020! *Placements are on a first come, first served basis so early application is recommended.
Arcadia faculty from Athens, Rome, Barcelona, Granada, London, Dublin and Edinburgh are very excited to move their classes online, while giving you a flavor of what local life is like in their countries.
Mix and match one course from any location with a six-week, virtual internship in London, Athens or Rome - employers from a wide variety of sectors are very keen to have students complete online projects for them.
Project placements will match with your career goals to give you relevant experience for your resume. Placements cover a wide selection of activities online, from social media assignments for businesses and web content creation, to pursuing research for business development projects and developing communication plans and content for non-profit organizations, and much more. A digital resume workshop is also included.
Online excursions will also be included, in so far as responsible social distancing practices allow in the summer. These may range from virtual tours of key museums or landmarks, virtual co-curricular explorations of museums, galleries and other culturally significant locations, guest lectures by host country experts in the fields of study, vibrant discussions facilitated by Arcadia Abroad faculty and live event streaming.
Arcadia aims to help students for whom financial assistance can mean the difference between participating on an Arcadia program and staying home. Arcadia scholarships are awarded to eligible applicants based on need. Approximately 70% of study abroad students who apply for aid from Arcadia receive some form of award
Applications are received on a rolling basis.
Only students who have been accepted to a program from Arcadia Abroad will be considered for an award.
