Overall Experience
Most of what I learned was just about my own independence and many things that can't be put into words. I just feel changed, more responsible, capable, open to new experiences, and addicted to seeing more of the world. 100% worthwhile and am counting down the days until I can buy a plane ticket back! - Oklahoma State University - Stillwater View Entire Review
Was definitely the best choice of my life and i do not regret a minuet of it - University of Maine at Orono View Entire Review
I learned how to live on my own. I learned how to advocate for myself and not depend on my professors for guidance or friends for guidance. I also became a new me through exploring new things I like to do such as camping and hiking and cooking. It was totally worthwhile! I will never forget my experience! - Bethel University View Entire Review

A 3-day excursion to Rotorua is included, and an Optional Pacific Studies Program in Suva, Fiji (1week/1 credit), is offered prior to the start of term in New Zealand. This program gives an introduction to the history and culture of the Pacific Island region taught on location by the University of the South Pacific.

Volunteer opportunities are available, and Victoria University offers Victoria PLUS, a service learning-oriented certificate program that includes workshops and seminars.

Located at the southern tip of New Zealand’s North Island, between a beautiful harbor and rolling green hills, the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Wellington is the political, cultural and creative capital of New Zealand. Wellington offers a range of outdoor and cultural activities: hike, surf the southern beaches, attend sporting events at Westpac Stadium, or visit the many music venues, theaters, art galleries and museums in the city. With more restaurants and cafés per capita than New York City and a lively calendar of festivals and sporting events, there is always something going on in Wellington.
