Every minute was worthwhile. I grew so much as a person and had one of the best times of my life. Sara Sprague - University of Northern Colorado View Entire Review
I gain a sense of independence being abroad. Before having the chance to go abroad I was not independent, I relied a lot on others. Being abroad essentially forced me to start handling things on my own without others input. A student - Lake Forest College View Entire Review

I've become more independent and self-assured in my own abilities living on my own. I also was able to take advantage of many cultural activities throughout the semester so I fully believe I made the most out of the 5 months I was abroad. Without a doubt it was worthwhile and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Annie W - Providence College View Entire Review

It was incredible worthwhile. I learned so much about myself and this beautiful, diverse nation. This program changed my life. It has completely altered my future plans, and I actually want to consider graduate school in Africa now. It's not something I can easily explain to someone else, it's something that has to be experienced. Autumn W - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I know myself better and have a much broader worldview. I have different priorities and definitely want to travel more. The things I have learned and the people I have met will remain with me throughout my development, and this has helped to form my plans for what to do after college. Bethany K - Providence College View Entire Review
I am beyond happy i chose to study abroad and particularly happy i chose to go to SA. I think i had one of the best experiences that is offered, and it is my hope that more people take this opportunity and that PC continues to offer this. It would be a mistake to take away the AIFS Stellenbosch experience because of what i have ... Elena - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about how big the world is, but also how small it is. I was encouraged to do a lot of self-reflection, which helped me learn about my biases and how my actions impact others. I was also here during the water crisis, so I learned how valuable natural resources are. A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review
After this experience, I have learned to be more appreciative. Living in another country on my own has shown me that there is so much out there in the world and it has given me a new perspective on my life goals. This experience has humbled me and it has inspired me to travel more. Jaleyca Rivera - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I learned how to adapt to my surroundings. When I talked with the locals in South Africa they would often times ask me about America. Everything in America works. I know thats a vague statement but it's true. The wifi in South Africa isn't always the greatest. Certain things aren't as fast as they are in America. The pace of lif... Yes! I've gained so much from my time abroad, for example I'm much more independent than I was when I left. I traveled across South Africa with two girlfriends and when I got back we all just looked at each other were so proud of ourselves because we successfully traveled a foreign country and that's a huge thing! I've been a... Samantha S - University of Hartford View Entire Review

It was extremely worthwhile. Not only did it make me appreciate my own country it made me realize what I want to do with my life. It helped me gain a focus on the reality of the world that I didn't have before. I will always be idealistic in my thinking but being abroad turned me into a bit more of a realist and I am forever tha... Adriana A - Providence College View Entire Review
