Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Stellenbosch university has a much tougher grading system than UHART. Hard to get A's on assignments.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The staff advising us was competent but I felt they had a hard time.dividing their personal lives with their professional lives. Also, they did not know how to manage things when things got difficult.

* Housing:

Good. Spacious. Personal.

* Food:

Good. Varied selection.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

Garden route was great

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Studying abroad from UHART was way more expensive than I thought. While the program costs 14000 I paid 18000 to UHART.

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
