"The ECCO program was extremely worthwhile because it gave me the chance to become fluent in Italian by requiring me to use it on a daily basis and in a variety of settings. I also learned valuable information about Italian history, art, literature, food, music, and culture! "

"I pushed myself academically, harder than Wellesley ever could have done. Socially I didn't have to do much, because work took up all my time. I was quite lonely for a while, but once I found my people I had a couple of wonderful months. It would not have been worth it to me to go for less than the whole year, and I advise al..."

"We had lots of traditional Japanese experiences that we definitely would not have had on any other program. For example, we cut rice and wood, got to experience classes with middle schoolers, and went to public baths. It took some effort and was a little nerve wracking at first, but I made lots of friends at well, both locally a..."
