"A home? It sounds silly and cheesy, but I could really see myself moving back to Edinburgh in the future. I gained a city, really, and the openness that comes with that - the willingness to try a whole host of new things I would never have done before."

"It was incredibly worthwhile--my perspective on life and education are completely different. As a history major, it was incredible visiting all the places in London that I had studied for years. "I learned that I do not want to go into architecture, but I do want to continue to pursue a career in the creative industry. This was important to know so that I didn't waste my years in grad school pursuing something that I did not want to do! I also learned a lot about Danish/Scandinavian culture. "It was definitely a worthwhile experience, but ONLY because my school stepped in and moved me to a different program. If I was stuck with the AKP, it would have been the most scarring and miserable academic year of my life."

"I love being in London for a year! It was AWESOME! There are lots of opportunities, so many attractions and the city itself is so diverse! I absolutely loved it and would study abroad all over again if I could! Also, the Study-Abroad administrator for SOAS - Sophie - was great and always helpful with everything!"
