Friends, culture, knowledge of history A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
This experience was so worthwhile. It was a nice break from the rigor and competitiveness of Wellesley. I was quite literally never stressed out and I got a new perspective on Wells making it easier to come back and finish my senior year. Anon - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned about many different cultures and made friends that I know I will keep in touch with for a long time. It was truly a worthwhile experience. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself and came away knowing SO MUCH about hungary it was incredible Dharani P - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Absolutely worthwhile. I learned quite a bit about Hungary itself, the history and current state of the EU, and a bit of Hungarian language. From the experience, I learned a lot about myself and what I desire out my life experiences. I gained so much from all the people I met, every week I would end up meeting and speaking with ... YES! I learned about this fascinating new culture and city, met interesting people from Hungary and from across the US, and I had a break from my stressful academic experience. Now I am happier in my college and I have made new friendships that I hope to keep for a long time. Caroline A - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Living in the city was my first time seeing poverty first hand. There are a good number of homeless people in the city, begging on the streets. None of them were violent or a nuisance at all. They were people, just like anyone else. I would always give a handful of coins if I passed them on the street. And then I started volunte... I learned a new language, found comfort in a new city, and met great new friends. Kelly K - Tulane University View Entire Review
Despite having problems with the over involvement of the program administrator, I did enjoy my abroad experience. I love Budapest, and how it is centrally located so that you can travel to other countries very easily. I traveled nearly every weekend, but also enjoyed exploring Budapest. Hollis Rammer - Wellesley College View Entire Review
First and foremost, my main goal in studying abroad was to see the world and travel, but I ended up learning a lot about Hungarian culture regardless. I also learned a lot about myself, so the experience was pretty rewarding. Karen K - Brandeis University View Entire Review
it was absolutely worthwhile - I became much more adventurous and self sufficient Morgan B - Brandeis University View Entire Review
America isn't the only place in the world. Christopher R - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was so worthwhile. I gained a lot of self awareness and knowledge of other cultures and ways of life. And I had such a fun time. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Studying abroad was definitely worthwhile. It gave me some of the best experiences of my life that I thought I would never have. It also gave me practical skills such as navigating through a foreign country. A student - Fordham University View Entire Review
One of the most worthwhile experiences I have ever taken in my life. Gabriel P - Tulane University View Entire Review
This is honestly a very easy program to enjoy. I can't imagine anyone not being satisfied. The dollar is VERY strong here, so you can easily live like a king, or at least live comfortably if you're under an extremely tight budget. If you want to party, alcohol here is absurdly cheap. If you hate Budapest, you can leave for a bra... Rachel J - Barnard College View Entire Review
This was very worthwhile, and its highly recommended. I would only consider recommending against it if you are a minority, as Hungarians can be very racist, and they aren't shy about showing it. Sean O - Tulane University View Entire Review
