"Language skills. Yes"
A student Wellesley College
"I loved the independence of my time abroad and also appreciated the ability to really study texts in a rigorous manner. More than anything I loved being able to go on walks. Port Meadow is a favorite. I would also take advantage of the university-wide libraries. "

"I learned a lot of Japanese. I learned how to explore a new city. I learned that I need to push myself to be out of my comfort zone. I learned that if I put my mind to it and study, languages aren't actually difficult."
Imara McMillan Wellesley College
"I gained friendships and a much deeper insight into an interesting culture. I loved practicing my Spanish and I hope to return to Spain very soon."

"My experience gave me a better sense of what I appreciated about my small college (especially the smaller class sizes). It was also a growing experience in terms of learning about the people and culture, and of course, the ability to experience the natural beauty that is New Zealand!"
Disha Okhai Wellesley College
"I learned so much about myself. How I work in a larger school, a co-ed school for that matter. How much I value the outdoors and what it means to me to be able to apply what I've learned in the classroom to my leisurely hikes."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to live independently, navigate a big city, and put myself out there. You are definitely not coddled like you are at Wellesley - you have to rely on yourself. My good time is attributed to the city itself. London is amazing and has so many opportunities for fun around every corner. I can't wait to go back!"

"There were more self-studying at Edinburgh and it made me be more organized with my time. Further I was exposed to various part of Europe which expanded my point of view. "
A student Wellesley College
"I had a lovely time in Edinburgh- it's a beautiful city with a lot available to students. Directly enrolling doesn't provide much structure, so study abroad students really are able to shape their own experience, for better or worse. You have to put yourself out there and join groups you're interested in or your experience will ..."

"Good friends "
A student Wellesley College
"I got a sense of confidence and a good sense of self while I was abroad. I realized that I'm tougher than I give myself credit for, and that I know more than what I gave myself credit for. I was able to reevaluate myself and what I was studying in a different setting and more than the just the courses themselves, I was able to r..."
