"I think I learned a lot about myself and grew so much. Going to a new country, not knowing anyone, not speaking the language and having to figure it out as you go made me such much more confident and eager to integrate. I gained new perspectives having met people from all around the world. I gained life experience, travel expe..."

"You really learn how to fend for yourself. Wellesley is so wonderfully helpful and kind to its students, while SOAS really is not. I had a great time meeting new friends, learning London and traveling Europe. In general, it was a terrific experience. "

"I learned a lot about my self and I also became extremely independent. I loved London and hope to live there if the future will allow it. It was definitely a worthwhile experience, and although I missed Wellesley dearly, I would strongly encourage everyone to study abroad for at least once semester. "

"I became much more independent, more flexible, more street smart, more mature, and more culturally knowledgeable. I hadn't been able to travel much before this semester, but had always wanted to, and by being in a major global metropolis central to Europe, I had the opportunity to see a lot of beautiful and amazing places on a ..."

"I learned to navigate one of the largest cities in the world! TFL is very comprehensive but still, i'm proud. This year taught me a lot about independence and adulthood and i'm grateful for that."

"My language skills improved quite a bit, and I learned so much while living in a country so contrary to the US, and different in mind and spirit from the West and the particular way of living and thinking that I have been used to. It was absolutely worthwhile to finally gain some first-hand insight on the way in which the world ..."

"I got to live in one of my favorite countries and really experience British life. I saw the greater part of Southern England and went on trips that were academically-interesting, culturally-enriching, entertaining, and even sometimes athletically-challenging (in a good way). I tried many new things, including traveling alone, ta..."

"I've seen so much China and learned so much about its culture. It was the right balance between chill and "yes you're still in school". Honestly the experience is what you make of it."

"I learned how to be comfortable in speaking Korean. I always had trouble getting into a full conversation when I learned back home. I knew what the person was saying, but I always felt like my response needed to be perfect and so I got into the habit of planning what I was gonna say. While in my time here in South Korea, it's he..."

"A home? It sounds silly and cheesy, but I could really see myself moving back to Edinburgh in the future. I gained a city, really, and the openness that comes with that - the willingness to try a whole host of new things I would never have done before."

"From being abroad I fully realized that there is more to life than academia and getting a good GPA. I was able to slack off a bit on school and focus on the social aspect of my life more which was a great experience for me. Studying abroad was a great test of my ability to live on my own and take care of myself. "
