Exposure to a different education system, meeting people from all over the world. It was definitely worthwhile--it expanded my world view and allowed me to travel for the first time in my life

I had a great time. Love the area of St Andrews. It is a bit remote (so it is harder to travel to other countries), but I still had fun. Enjoyed doing trips around Scotland

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Works out to about $20/week (train tickets, occasional activities)
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you got to Scotland, get the Tesco 3 pound meal deals! Very cheap and good

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • lots of study abroad students, great to meet people
  • loved the classes, felt like I learned a lot but wasn't also overwhelmed by school work and could appreciate my time there
  • location--near a beach and a cute town with bookstores, etc.
* What could be improved?
  • make sure you have money saved up before you go, when you move into the dorm you'll need pillows and blankets
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Put yourself out there to meet people and don't be nervous
