"I was glad to see Europe, didn’t like Amsterdam"

"I learned how to cope in an environment without my primary support system. "

"Language acquisition and Brazilian historical knowledge. This program was not worthwhile and if I could do it over again, I would stay on campus. Please note that I have studied abroad internationally before as well as lived abroad in southern Africa for 2 years; my negative experience with this program was not due to difficulty..."

"I learned to appreciate my home school and the organization it has. This school had a terrible registration process for classes. My classes took weeks to be finalized and I frequently had to see the administration in person. At the end of the semester the administration lost my final (and only) exam but I was lucky enough that I..."

"Life is more interesting. Memories are good to make, and should be prioritized in the US, even when its not as glamorous as traveling to a new country per weekend"
A student Wellesley College
"I did learn some cultural differences through my host family. My French level did improve a little but not as drastically as I had hoped."
A student Wellesley College
"It was an interesting, but not necessarily worthwhile experience. I am somewhat glad I experienced it, but I am not pleased with the monetary cost it took to have it. I felt constantly out of place in Berlin (as an American and as an Asian) and I was incredibly disappointed by the fact that we were not able to take many/most of ..."

"I got to travel more than I expected and I have a fabulous internship, but honestly I feel like it was a waste of time. The quality of education here is no where near what it is at Wellesley and the fact that the program goes into June is ridiculous and cuts out a fair portion of summer internship opportunities. "
Grady B Wellesley College
"In terms of learning German, probably not. This was particularly difficult, despite my best efforts. I did gain a much better understanding of Austrian politics, culture, and history through my study abroad experience. Most of this is the result of my own interest (I read the paper every day, discussed politics with Austrian..."
Megan H Wellesley College
"It was a different focus on public health that I didn't have. I do not think it is as worthwhile as I wish it could have been."
Idalmis V Wellesley College
"I was able to see that I might not want to use Spanish later on in a career. I was able to travel in Europe."
Jamie7 Wellesley College
"The clinical practicum and biochemistry course for pre-meds was the academic highlight of this experience. Wellesley and Jacobs were also rather felxible in allowing certain classes to fulfill distribution requirements, which I appreciated. Though the academics at Jacobs itself was lackluster, the overall experience prevented me..."
A student Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile but I wish I had gone to a different program."
Molly S Wellesley College
"Yes, I loved going abroad. I am happy that I only studied with PRESHCO for one semester because it is such a small program (Cordoba is a small city)."
Hannah K Wellesley College
"I learned how to be independent in a big city and how to adjust to a new environment. However, there was little integration into the local culture. "
Lily L Wellesley College
"This program was humbling; though, it became increasingly difficult to connect with my peers on the program because there was an obvious misunderstanding of privilege. However, what made it worthwhile was that I was able to befriend locals from each country and connect with them. "
A student Wellesley College
"I did learn a lot about British culture during this program. And having Oxford on your resume certainly doesn't hurt. I'm glad I went just to have had the experience of studying in a different country, even though I didn't love it. "
A student Wellesley College
"I enjoyed Ireland and the other countries I traveled to. "
A student Wellesley College
"it was worthwhile that i got to experience different cultures while traveling in other european countries. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about French literature and authors that I enjoy reading. This experience was worthwhile but I did not get as much appreciation for the French culture out of it as I had expected."
A student Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile in a sense and not so much in others. I wish I had more support but I think the lack of it was a silver lining because it allowed a lot of time for myself and I really got to know my strengths and capabilities and forced me to confront myself in hard situations. "
Nisrine A Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile from an academic standpoint, I learned a lot about European economics and improved my independent study skills. The social aspects weren't as colorful as I expected. "
Siwen C Wellesley College
"The clinical portion of this program was great. Other than that, I think there's a huge need for improvement from both sides (wellesley and jacobs) in informing students of what will be provided and what won't be. There is serious improvement needed on Jacobs' side in terms of supporting their international students that I did n..."

"I became more independent"
A student Wellesley College
"I found myself surprised and sometimes shocked at French people's attitudes on things, which made me appreciate my own culture so much more. I do think it was worthwhile because it gives you a different perspective on how foreigners are treated outside their country. Being somewhere where people do not speak your first language ..."
