November 01, 2018 A New Life In Brasil
The experience was absolutely worthwhile and learning from a different culture absolutely has transformed my opinions on certain perspectives. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Yes it was worthwhile and I gained probably more than I know from this experience. I gained language proficiency, great friends, exploring a new culture, gained the confidence to get around in a foreign country with few language skills, traveling, and more than I can recall right now. I would go back to Brazil in a hearbeat. - Brandeis University View Entire Review

This program is for students who want to step out of their comfort zone and understand Brazil from a local perspective. The curriculum is a combination of Portuguese language courses and electives taught in English, but intermediate and advanced students may opt for full immersion by taking direct enroll courses in Portuguese alongside Brazilian peers.Classes have a strong focus on social justice, and volunteering is a central component of the program.
