"After my program ended in May, I decided to stay the summer too because I loved the area and there's so much that happens in Annecy during the summer. I lived with two French girls and honestly I learned more from living with them than I did going to school for the previous four months. But none the less, I met a lot of nice peo..."

"Absolutely! I learned a lot about France but also about cultures from all around the world since the students in my class were from all parts of the globe. This was my first time out of America and really made me want to keep traveling. I've seen only a small part of the world and this has made me want to keep exploring."

"I loved Annecy and I loved IFALPES. I plan to return to Annecy soon and just take a vacation there. I learned so much about French culture, mostly from living with a host family."

"It was definitely worthwhile to better understand Russian culture and Russian language. Also, you will never understand Russian without using it in Russia, and this is one of the least expensive programs available to spend a semester in Russia. "

Juan R Truman State University
"I learned that there are other people in the world who live life differently and are very happy with their lifestyles. I visited places I had never even known about before going abroad and I learned so much about how other people view things and what is important to them. It was an unbelievable experience and I am grateful for..."

"I learned that I have to put myself out there and risk looking like an idiot to learn something new about myself. Everything was so worthwhile and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."
Belkisa C Truman State University
"I learned to roll with the punches. Keep an open mind. Always smile and keep an optimistic attitude"
A student Truman State University
"Too much to list, but it was beyond worthwhile. Maybe I'm not supposed to say this on a school supported survey, but do not study abroad and spend all your time studying. That would be a horrific waste of such a great opportunity. Put yourself out there, meet new people, challenge yourself. Become stronger. Become more soci..."

"I went to Bulgaria knowing almost nothing about the country, culture, language, etc..... I had no idea what to expect. Even though there were some challenges with the administration and program details, I loved the freedom I had to explore the city. Veliko Tarnovo is absolutely beautiful and very affordable. I got to explore the..."

"I learned how to navigate British culture, gained confidence in my professional future, figured out what I want to do as a profession, and learned more than I could want about Europe and Britain. The experience was totally worthwhile, but the program was bad."

"Personally, I feel like this program has made me much more independent and a much more confident traveler. I used to be nervous and confused about how to travel, and I would always want to have everything planned out way in advance. Now I'm much more flexible, and I know that things will work out wherever we go. I know how to..."

"It was definitely worthwhile! Coming back to the US, one of the big differences I've noticed in myself is a greater willingness to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, and be adventurous. I also have a completely different view of the world. It is so big, and there are so many people and places. The US may be a big coun..."
