The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Literatura del siglo xvii

Course Department: Facultad de letras
Instructor: Valcarcel
Instruction Language: spanish
Comments: I actually enjoyed the class itself. However, at the beginning of the class I asked the professor if it was realistic for me as an international student and she said "yes, as long as I write well on the exam." I felt like that meant I could succeed in the class. After that I was in class almost every day and studied quite hard for the exam (because there were no other grades in the class so I knew it would fall to the test). However, at the end of the class the teacher failed me because I had not mastered the Spanish language and that I should not even bother with the retake because it did not matter how much class information I knew since I couldn't write it well. I felt like she was failing me simply because I was international and was especially upset since I felt like I had improved my Spanish greatly during the semester.
