University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"Definitely worthwhile! I learned more about the country of Chile, and more about myself as well. I feel like I learned a lot and I am so glad that I did it. It also impacted my views on what I want to potentially go into as a career."

"My study abroad experience was the the best experience of my life. I discovered that I am happiest in sitautions where I am constantly challeneged with new opporunities and meeting new people. I have also become more self-reliant. I realized I am interested in elarning more languages and hope to work and live abroad after gra..."

"Looking back on it I kind of wish I would have gone to a warmer and more culturally distinct country like Spain. I do not enjoy cold weather even though I am from Sweden. I am happy I studied in Scotland though, I learned a lot about myself and their educational system. I feel like I have become a more efficient student because ..."

"It was amazingly worthwhile... I went there focused, stressed, and feeling like graduate school was already pressing down on me as a junior. I left relaxed, more independent, and feeling like I can do anything in the way I want. I don't have to listen to others and do what they want me to do, it is possible to be independent! "

"Most definitely. I traveled, went to tons of museums, met Greeks, ate a lot of great food, cooked a lot of great food. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if I could. I learned that I am capable of just about anything and adjusting to anything, as well. "

"Yes. There were lots of times when I hated being there and I just wanted to go back home. But in a weird way, I kind of like that. It lets me appreciate my home a lot more. Cambodia definitely has some beautiful sights and the Khmer are great people. But there's so much pollution and trash everywhere. It really got to me."
Tyler S Trinity University
"Definately. I would go abroad again in a heartbeat. Especially to Ireland - I think I fell in love with the place. I had friends that had gone abroad before, and after having gone myself, I know exactly what they were talking about when they said I would not regret the decision!"
James W Trinity University

"yes totally"

"Absolutely. If not for the confidence in travel and joy in history and tourism (and the novelty of having an accent that everyone adored), my friendships made my time incredibly more worthwhile and enriching than I ever expected and will have a longer impact on me than I could ever have anticipated."
Teresa G Trinity University
"Definitely."

"I think it was. It was a refreshing get away from American society and I really enjoyed that aspect of it"

"Te experience itself was amazing and I would do it all over again if I could but I would not choose IES."

"I love the country. For such a small country, it has a little of everything and is rapidly growing in popularity. I'm glad I got to see it before it became too developed. The people are all very special to me. Everyone I met there became my family, not only my familia, which I will keep in contact with and make sure to visit, bu..."

"Studying abroad is the best experience I've had in my life so far. I learned so much about Chinese culture and I eventually learned to think like a Chinese person. Going to China also helped me to see that I do want to live and work in China at some point in my future. Going abroad really helped me to act independently and I lea..."

"I have a more "worldly" view of America and other cultures. Going abroad is wonderful because it really puts things in perspective and you realize that Americans don't rule the world like we think we do. I loved living in France, meeting French people, and living life the French way. It's different, some things good and others b..."

"I learned to deal with other countries. I met amazing people. I learned to appreciate little things like dishwashers, dryers and burgers. I experienced traveling in places where I did not speak the language and basically had one of the best semesters of my life."
Emily B Trinity University
"yessssss every second, minute, and dollar. well worth"
Brianna G Trinity University
"My study abroad experience was wonderful. I learned a lot about myself, how others view the United States as well as their own countries, and how to deal with problems on my own. "
Lynne B Trinity University
"Yes. If I had spent this semester at my home institution, I would have been so sheltered. There is so much to learn from someone from another country, and until you are put in the shoes of a "foreigner" you will never understand the outside world."
Courtney N Trinity University
"It was absolutely worthwhile. I have a new understanding of other people, and of myself. I think I will keep what I have learned with me forever."
Morgan K Trinity University
"I feel like i am so lucky that I was able to study abroad. It really expanded my outlook on the world."
