I'm not sure, I overworked myself this semester and it didnt seem worth the large amount of trouble I went through in order to get here. The International School of the University of Haifa offers semester, and year-long study programs for current undergraduate students, recent university graduates and adult learners. See our separate listing for summer programs. We also offer full degree MA programs for international graduate students. The University of Haifa is the most pluralistic institution of higher education in Israel. The university community, consisting of 18,000 degree students, is a diverse and harmonious blend of Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze, and Bedouin students who study together in an atmosphere of coexistence and mutual respect. Hebrew Ulpan: Students from over 40 countries come to our Summer Hebrew Ulpan. With 25 hours/week of language instruction and an array of social and cultural activities, this program will help you to speak Hebrew. Israeli roommates aid in language acquisition. We also offer a similar intensive program in the winter, between our 2 semesters. The Internship Program: This is a directed work-study experience related to the academic or vocational interests of students in the semester or year program. Students work 10-15 hours/week, complete weekly reports as well as a final term paper at the end to receive academic credit. Semester or Year Program: This interdisciplinary program offers courses in a variety of fields such as Global Law, Political Science, Religious Studies, Business, Psychology, Peace and Conflict Studies, Arabic language and Culture, Sociology, History and more. We have excellent honors programs in Psychology and Peace & Conflict studies. All courses are taught in English. The Arabic Language Program: This program is among the most effective language programs in Israel and attracts students from around the world. Classes meet 20 hours/week and have several hours of homework/day. One day/week is for field trips to Arab communities in the north. Hebrew Winter Ulpan: Intensive Hebrew Winter Ulpan is offered every year for one month prior to the start of the Spring semester. Students are encouraged to come and learn with other students from all over the world. With, 25 hours/week of language instruction and an array of social and cultural activities, this program will help you to conquer the Hebrew language.
