Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Grading system is excellent. The 2nd semester's teachers were much more organized and the academic experience was overall a better one.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The entire international school staff was/is wonderful. Very accommodating and kind. There was a lack of organization with the volunteering. [admin edit: name deleted] is a nice person and can be very helpful, but needs to distance herself a little bit from the personal lives of students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Talia dorms are very nice and I enjoyed living with 4 Israelis. I made great friends, felt safe and comfortable.

* Food:

A meal plan would be helpful. The mini-market is extremely expensive. It would be nice to have a weekly field trip to the market (organized by the school) to help people reduce the cost of food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The hikes and tours were very nice but lacked organization. More sleeping bags are needed!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Harel insurance needs to be changed to include pre-existing conditions. Otherwise the medical care was good.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Psychology Honors Seminar

Course Department:
Instructor: Amit Bernstein
Instruction Language: English
Comments: This was a waste of time. Amit clearly did not want to be there and never taught us anything new about clinical psychology. He did not provide any constructive feedback at all, and the grade felt arbitrary.
Credit Transfer Issues: This course will not transfer back to my home university
