What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile. I gained a furthered sense of global competency and cultural understanding. I received everything from this semester abroad that I was hoping for, and more.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Workload was much less than I was used to. And you have an extra month to hand in final assignments after the end of the semester.

Things are a little bit chaotic. Its all part of living in "Israel time" which, like much of the rest of the world, really has no regard for what actual time it is.

Most people spoke English. My Hebrew skills vastly improved. My Arabic skills got worse.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Things are tense in Israel. But not dangerous, not unsafe. And ultimately, no matter what kind of background you may or may not be coming from, you will enjoy yourself.
