The academic system at Oxford is immensely customizable, and I took multiple one-on-one courses with one Computer Science professor who got to know my learning style and pace very well.

I had an amazing year and really hit it off with a bunch of local British students during orientation week, and ended up having a close friend group of two American exchange students and four local students I dubbed the British Boy Band (BBB). I also befriended my dorm neighbors and would cook with them, and found integrating into local culture very easy.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew that it wasn't nearly as intimidating to make local friends and integrate as people who'd done this before made it out to be. Just put yourself out there!
