I gained a lot of concrete knowledge, but more than anything, I gained some essential life skills like the value of going with the flow, flexibility, being a leader and also a helpful group member, gaining other perspectives on life, respect for other people and mentalities, and just a huge appreciation for all that other people... Didn't have to work very hard, felt pretty detached from classes as there wasn't much to work on. Had a good time socially, in town and on excursions, but I don't feel like I ever actually had to sit down and work. A student View Entire Review
I gained more confidence and a deeper understanding of my goals for the future. I would like to teach a language one day. My experience abroad has heightened my awareness of worldwide issues. Mariam R - Pacific Lutheran University View Entire Review
After three months abroad, I gained an entirely new perspective of my own culture, my abilities to succeed in unfamiliar situations, and a much better grasp of Spanish. This program inspired me to return to spain two years later to live and work for two years and I've never been happier. Ashley B - University of Portland View Entire Review
I gained more of a sense of independence and I realized that I can make it on my own. I also got a taste of living in another country and I don't want my study away experience to be my only out of the USA experience now. Michael C - Pacific Lutheran University View Entire Review
I learned so much about myself. It was my first time out of the United States, so it was an incredible experience to learn about another culture. My eyes were opened to an entirely different way of life, which I think is so necessary for our generation. Alyssa J - Pacific Lutheran University View Entire Review
Yes, it was worthwhile. I learned a lot of Spanish and was pushed out of my box. I got to see a new culture. Catherine H - Pacific Lutheran University View Entire Review

In Granada you will find yourself immersed in a city with a deep and interesting history, a modern flair, and old world beauty. At the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains Granada’s jewel, the Alhambra, watches over the city. During the day you will dive into the Spanish and Granada culture through courses, museums, cultural events and interactions with your host family. Through the evening you will continue your cultural and language immersion as you chat with some of the many thousands of university students, relax in a café or tapas bar, or simply sleep and dream in Spanish.
