Overall Experience
It was worth it and I learned a lot but I wish I had done a program, rather than direct enrolment in a university, where there was much less of a support system and the housing situation was not ideal - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Independence, confidence in navigating and living in a large city, amazing international exposure and travel. Definitely worthwhile - Middlebury College View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was more than worthwhile. I grew up a lot, learning how to take care of myself in simple and challenging circumstances. My time abroad wasn't easy and it wasn't always fun. There were times when traveling was more difficult than it was enjoyable, but it was always a valuable experience. I learned above... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about being on my own in a big city. I loved London, it is now one of my favorite cities. Although classes did not meet as often as they do at Middlebury, I had a lot of free time to enjoy myself abroad and I really got to know London well. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I discovered the city and people. It was definitely worthwhile. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Past Review Awesome
Broadened my cultural horizons. Very worthwhile, grew as a person. - Cornell University View Entire Review
I learned Medical manners, medical ethics, hands-on experience with real patients in a medical setting - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I'd never been out of the US before and always wanted to go abroad. That alone makes the experience worthwhile. I gained a better understanding of not only English culture, which is useful to my major, but also a better understanding of Europe in general. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Go To London!

Past Review Living In London
I learned how to be independent and had a lot of fun in the city. But, I was not impressed with the education abroad. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes it really was. The confidence and independence that you find while studying abroad, especially in a vibrant city like london, really helps you start to feel like an adult. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely. I definitely grew as a person first and foremost. You really get a glimpse of what your life could be like once you've finished university living. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Great to understand other cultures because you find out what is really important about yours and what you like about it. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
This semester helped me to re-access the importance of a balanced life. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Just living abroad was great. The Wellesley community, while great, can feel so small sometimes, and it was absolutely fantastic to live in a big city. I never realized before I went abroad how much I needed it and I feel like I've gotten so much more independent from the experience. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Deeper understandings of cultural divisions - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Past Review Amazing
Yes - Cornell University View Entire Review
A completely different view of how education works, and how people work. Completely worthwhile - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Learned how to live in a city by myself. Learned how to navigate random European countries without a map or any knowledge of the local language. Learned tons of British slang. I dunno, I learned a lot. Amazing trip - Brandeis University View Entire Review
it was the experience of a lifetime and i loved it because i got to travel extensively (14 countries in 5 months) but i still got to know the city like a local (i knew more about some areas than my english flat mates) - Villanova University View Entire Review
Past Review Fun!
How to live in a culture other than your own, absolutely worthwhile - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I really liked the experience, but I felt it could have been better - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Extremely worthwhile. Every single day that I've been back, I wish I was still in London. It's so important to choose a location that will fit you. For me, London was exactly that. The culture, the city, the food, the architecture, everything about it was such a great fit for me. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I loved my study abroad experience! It was an amazing growth experience for me and I'm so glad I did it. I just wish it could've been longer. - Wellesley College View Entire Review

About

King’s College London is one of the top 30 universities in the world (QS international world rankings), the Sunday Times 'University of the Year' and the fourth oldest in England. A research-led university based in the heart of London, it has more than 24,000 students (of whom nearly 10,000 are graduate students) from 150 countries and more than 6,100 employees. King’s has an outstanding reputation for providing world-class teaching and cutting-edge research. In the Research Assessment Exercise for British universities, 23 departments were ranked in the top quartile of British universities; over half of our academic staff work in departments that are in the top 10 per cent in the UK in their field and can thus be classed as world leading. The College is in the top seven UK universities for research earnings and has an overall annual income of nearly £525 million. King’s has a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences (including a wide range of health areas such as psychiatry, medicine, nursing and dentistry) and social sciences including international affairs. It has played a major role in many of the advances that have shaped modern life, such as the discovery of the structure of DNA and research that led to the development of radio, television, mobile phones and radar. It is the largest centre for the education of healthcare professionals in Europe; no university has more Medical Research Council Centres.
