  • Siena Summer - Tradition & Cuisine in Tuscany: Nestled in the Tuscan countryside, Siena is a beautiful medieval city located 35 miles southwest of Florence. Immerse yourself in Italian society, cuisine, and culture, while enjoying easy access to the Tuscan capital, the sea, and the renowned Tuscan landscape. In July, enjoy the rare chance to witness the Palio, Siena’s famous horse race. The Palio takes place in one of the most recognized piazzas in the world, Piazza del Campo, and is not simply a horse race, but a combination of rituals, rules, and traditions that have roots in the Middle Ages.

  • Siena - Business & Economics of Italian Food & Wine: Our Siena – Business & Economics of Italian Food & Wine Program is part of our 12 for 12 for 12 programs. The intersection of culture and cuisine is taken to the next level in Tuscany, where traditional food and wine are not only a large part of the cultural identity, but also a primary economic contributor. Our Business & Economics of Italian Food & Wine Program is ideal for Business, Economics, Agribusiness, Political Science, and Agricultural Economics majors, as well as any student with an academic or professional interest in local and organic food and wine in Italy.

  • Siena - Study in Tuscany: Prepare to be charmed by Siena’s medieval history and rich culture. Located on three hills in the heart of the enchanting Tuscan countryside, this ancient city’s historical center has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you arrive, it’s easy to see why. This program’s required core course, Presence of the Past, makes Siena and Tuscany your classroom through activities that explore important sites in and around the city, introducing you to the beauty of Siena’s cultural and artistic heritage. Explore the many piazzas, cathedrals, and squares inside Siena’s city walls that harken back to the Middle Ages. This isn’t just an exhibit at a museum—this is where you live.
