Overall Experience
Berlin is definitely one of the best cities I have lived in my life. Every week there is a festival, a concert, a parade or something going on. There is so much culture in Berlin that one is able to try something of every country. For example, I decided to learn Portuguese and take capoeira lessons. It is great to know that ther... - Austin College View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with IES Abroad: Berlin - IES Abroad in Berlin
The most imoprtant thing I learned during my time abroad was how to become culturally aware and how important globalization really is for the future success of mankind. I learned how to live almost on my own and become more independent than I was prior to this experience. I made very close friends that were in the study abroad p... - Texas A&M University - College Station View Entire Review

Yes I would say this was worthwhile. Getting to further my German has helped me tremendously. I want to move back now so it has left me wanting more. The studies are good and help get you interacting with the city. It is a worldly city and you get to understand European and World views better. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
This experience reinforced my desire to become a diplomat or a representative for the U.S. in Europe. In addition, Germany definitely increased my interest in immigration issues. In fact, I hope to return to Germany soon, to continue to study German identity and immigration. - Occidental College View Entire Review
My German improved a lot (although not as much as it could have) and I had a chance to take classes in my major from a new perspective. It was my first time in Europe and I can't complain about that. I just wish I had had more time to travel and soak up everything. - Tulane University View Entire Review
