I learned a lot about the Korean language and culture and got an opportunity to discover more about myself. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review

Studying Abroad is awesome. You realize there is so much more to learn and experience. You meet so many people and become part of a whole new culture that slowly becomes your own. When you come back, you are a new person. genessis o - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I learned that Korea is where I probably want to spend the rest of my life, and I will be taking steps to move there after graduation. Nilajah M - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
It is a good program, but it could have been better. Especially for me, it is hard to keep in touch with email to Hanyng. Zaw Ye N - Presbyterian College View Entire Review
I have definitly matured more. Plus, the knowledge I gained about Korea and my improvement in the Korean language, was something I believe I could have only recieved in Korea. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I honestly loved it there. Comparing to Austin, it is such a lively city. You don't really need to drive because of their convenient subway system. And you could literally just walk out of your house, walk a block away and there would be restaurants lined up. No need to drive just to find food. Studying and traveling in South Korea opened up a whole new world. I saw and did things that I had only ever seen before on TV. It forced me to be open, excepting, and to question everything. By taking a leadership course that forces you to explore what it means to be a leader in todays globalizing world; living with a punk-l... Hannah P - Ithaca College View Entire Review
Yes. I learned to be more independent and improved my Korean. I actually think I want to go back and become fluent in the language. Taheera V - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I learned how to communicate with others when our common language was Korean but none of us spoke it fluently. Van Lam - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
It was definitely a worthwhile experience. I learned to be independent in a foreign country, while creating meaningful connections in a place where I previously had none. I learned more about Korea that I ever would've in a textbook. Rebecca Lopez - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Communication is so important with confidence being key. I learned so much about international relations (but it may just be a drop in the bucket) and people know so much about America from history to even the "hottest" shows and music. Also, people from other countries may indeed know about and like American football! Since I t... A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I learned so much! Food, culture, language, people, etc. It was a breathtaking and enlightening experience. It was definitely worth it. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
The best part was going to the neighboring countries. I went to Japan 3 times and China once. If I could do it again, I'd much rather go to Japan. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I sacrificed a whole lot to come to Korea, and even if I had the chance to go back, I would make the same decision. I made many life-long friendships and experienced things that I wouldn't have been possible back in the States. Hannah L - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
My study abroad experience allowed me to gain a non-American aspect of everything from international events to manners of conducting daily activities. I truly believe that my study abroad experience boosted my cultural awareness in a way that no amount of time reading textbooks could have. There is certainly no substitute for st...
