About
GateWay Community College is the only college in the Maricopa Community College District to offer a study abroad experience in Asia. Students will immerse themselves in the study of the cultures and languages of Japan and South Korea to learn how to form effective international partnerships and to create successes in international trade. In Japan, students will stay with a host family stay and complete real world exercises using Japanese to communicate with native speakers and to enhance learning. We will participate with students from Kyushu University in a business start-up weekend. We will then travel to South Korea to learn about trade and entrepreneurship while working side-by-side with Korean students. This stimulating academic and cultural platform will provide a foundation for students to become globally competent businesspeople and entrepreneurs in the world economy.
