Ready to improve your Spanish language skills while developing expertise in international education? Seville is ready for you! Our Teaching Development program is designed exclusively for future language teachers and education majors. You’ll get a background in pedagogy and gain valuable hands-on experience teaching English for ten weeks in an international and multilingual environment – all while taking in all that this beautiful city has to offer.
Study abroad in Seville and you'll:
- Teach your own language class in a local school at the preschool, primary, secondary, or pre- university level
- Immerse yourself in the local community through homestays, language intercambios, and volunteer opportunities
- Learn outside the classroom through cultural activities and excursions throughout Seville and Andalusia, and experience bilingual education in situ with visits to different language programs and schools in Andalusia and Morocco

CIEE Scholarships
Qualifying programs: all summer, semester or year-long CIEE programs
$2,500 toward semester program costs, or $750 toward summer program costs
To increase access to study abroad by more students from Minority Serving Institutions (MSI), CIEE will cover 100% of program fees and travel costs for 10 students from 10 different MSIs to participate in an intensive 4-week, 3-credit summer study abroad program. To become a Frederick Douglass Global Fellow, students must be nominated and receive letters of recommendation.

Open to all CIEE alum and participants from high school and college study abroad, teach abroad, and tefl certifcations.

Federal Pell Grant-eligible students can receive a GAIN Travel Grant up to $1,000 when they complete their CIEE Scholarships and Grants application by our published deadlines. Gilman Scholarship applicants can receive a CIEE Go Global Grant AND a GAIN Travel Grant totally up to $4,000!

CIEE offers substantial grants for students who choose our innovative Open Campus Block program. Available at 13 CIEE Global Institutes around the globe, Open Campus invites students across majors to study in up to three international locations in one semester.
