Definitely worthwhile, gained some life long friends. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned what it's like to be surrounded by another culture. I wasn't able to read many things (especially in the beginning) and had to navigate and figure things out with limited use of my phone. It was definitely worth while. I learned about lot about myself and how to adapt to a new culture and live on my own. A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned to be open minded, how to be independent and how to deal with people of different backgrounds than myself. It was absolutely worthwhile. Sara F - Fairfield University View Entire Review
Expanded my general understanding of what life is like for other humans. European history is too often told through an American point of view, or a British point of view. It was refreshing to see a different side of the story. I feel like my image of Central Europe was a shallow stereotype and now it is not-so-shallow A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I learned some much about the region because there is such a rich history there. Sarah M - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Gained a better world perspective, absolutely A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Too much to say in words. I think everyone should take advantage of any opportunity they might have to go abroad. Interacting with so many different people from a variety of different backgrounds....jumping from city to city every other weekend...study Czech as a brand new language...meeting lifetime friends from all over the ... That I can do anything! I have the ability to explore Europe on my own and doing so is absolutely worth it. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I gained knowledge and understanding of the Czech culture Kaitlin W - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about Czech culture, history, politics, and life in the Czech Republic. It was very worthwhile. It was also important to see how Czechs and other Europeans think about Americans. A student - Fordham University View Entire Review
Yes. Learned a lot about living/traveling on my own and met people i'd never meet at my home university. Lucy F - Barnard College View Entire Review

Absolutely, I learned how to be more independent A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
I gained a lot of knowledge about other cultures and other perspectives, and thus I learned a lot about my own culture and perspective of life. I learned not to stress the small things and I learned to appreciate the small things. I gained self-confidence and reassurance in my chosen career path. Studying abroad made me a better... Yes it was very worthwhile Fred B - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Prague is a fantastic city, inexpensive and full of interesting places and people. I found that Prague was one of the places you had to work to feel comfortable. I really tried to find the places I liked best and it required some searching. It was very worthwhile. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
The pure exposure to different European cultures was incredible. Prague's central location made it very easy to travel everywhere. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It's incredible how ethnocentric you really are; you don't even realize it until you go somewhere else. I've learned a lot about Czech culture, and in doing so, I've learned a lot about my own culture. Going abroad has also been a personal growing experience. It sounds cheesy, but it really makes you learn about yourself as a pe... A student - Fordham University View Entire Review
Incredibly worthwhile!!! I became so much more independent after studying abroad, and met so many interesting people. At first I was quite shy, but it got better after meeting some people! The classes were the least part of my experience, peehaps unsurprisingly. Rosanne - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Appreciate every moment. Don't let the cold keep you from exploring when you first get to Prague (in the winter). Have an amazing time! A student - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
Absolutely. I would do it again and recommend it to everybody. I have become more self-confident and more assured of myself and my ability to travel and adapt. I hope to return to Central Europe one day in an academic or professional context. Kathryn B - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
My cultural awareness of Central and Eastern Europe is so much deeper now, and my understanding of the gulf between former communist countries and the Western Europe. Alyssa S - Trinity University View Entire Review
