Overall Experience
I can't even begin to explain all that I have learned in the past 6 months. My language skills, professional trajectory and personal goals have changed dramatically through exposure to a new culture, constant participation in a different language, and an introduction to a business setting that I have never experienced before! It... - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned a lot of independence, and I learned how to take the positive from every experience. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I improved my Spanish, and also gained a tremendous amount of confidence in myself. If I can navigate taking finals, making travel plans, and going to the doctor in a foreign language, I can do anything in English. Yes it was worthwhile. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely. Despite the way I ranked some of the things above, I didn't not like anything enough for it to have negatively affected my overall experience. I got to travel to some amazing places, meet great friends, and practice my Spanish. Living in another country for the semester helped me reflect back on my culture, values, a... - Villanova University View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile. I loved Madrid so much I want to go back and work there after graduation. - Villanova University View Entire Review
Yes, I learned a lot about myself, as well as both Spanish and American cultures. I have become much more aware of what is happening in the world and I want to continue to use my ability to speak Spanish back in the United States. - Providence College View Entire Review
I absolutely loved my experience abroad and believe it has had a large role in the person that I am today. It opened my eyes to many new things and shaped me into a well-rounded human being. - Providence College View Entire Review
Past Review
I wish I had chosen a culture that is more different from my own. Living in Spain was too comfortable and too easy for me, not enough of a challenge. It was a nice break from Wellesley, but not much of a challenge. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned to become more independent and break out of my comfort zone. It was worthwhile getting absorbed in the culture and traveling to different countries in Europe and comparing the different cultures. - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned a new language and a whole new culture/ set of social skills. It was very much worth it. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Past Review Madrid: Do It.
To be honest, Spain was much less academically rewarding and more rewarding in a personal sense- I learned about my strengths, weaknesses, came to terms with things that I need to work on, pushed myself, and changed my way of thinking to adapt to local culture. - Providence College View Entire Review
I think living in such an amazing city with so much life and culture has provided me with a new interest in urban development. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was worthwhile because I completed my Spanish minor and definitely improved my Spanish a bit. - Providence College View Entire Review
Yes it was worthwhile in that it greatly improved my language skills and i was able to go to a part of a world, i wouldnt normally have. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review
It was extremely worthwhile. I got to completely immerse myself into another culture and it really opened my eyes. Even though its very different than the states, I ended up loving the Spanish way of life and miss it already. I learned that only once you step outside your comfort zone can you really experience growth. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review
It was definitely worthwhile but I would have changed some things about my situation such as living and my program. - Providence College View Entire Review
