"I pushed myself academically, harder than Wellesley ever could have done. Socially I didn't have to do much, because work took up all my time. I was quite lonely for a while, but once I found my people I had a couple of wonderful months. It would not have been worth it to me to go for less than the whole year, and I advise al..."

"My experience was definitely worthwhile. My language skills definitely improved, but more importantly I learned a lot about daily life and culture in Putin's new, multicultural-ish Russia under sanctions."

"Studying outside of an established program meant that I was on my own, more or less. While this was daunting at first, I appreciate how it forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. It was definitely worthwhile. I loved being a student in London, and felt very connected to the city."

"I think I gained a new perspective in looking at the world, especially due to study tours and field studies that allows one to think in academic mind sets even in what would be considered a 'fun' experience, or just going on trips with people who have similar academic interest and knowledge really made me happy because I could s..."

"The whole experience was great- my language skills improved and I got to immerse myself in Russian culture. It was absolutely worthwhile, and while it wouldn't have been possible academically, I would have liked to do a full year of study in SPB. "

"Experiencing big cities is essential for learning about architecture and urban planning. I wanted to see what it was like outside my liberal arts school bubble, and the experience was eye-opening! NY/P gave me more of a direction in my final year at Wellesley. "

"I know this is cheesy but going to Japan has been one of the most beautiful things that has ever happened in my life. I can't say it will be the same for everyone, but for me it was worth every uphill battle and discouragement. "everything was worth-while. I would go abroad all over again- I absolutely loved it. But I would not do this program again. I would go either with a different program or simply cross-registering with the host university. It was AMAZING"

"I gained more confidence in my Spanish speaking skills and in myself as a person because of my time abroad. Living and studying in a country on a continent I had never even visited before for a whole semester was something very scary and exciting for me. I also somehow traveled on my own to another European country. At the end o..."
