"Yes, I loved going abroad. I am happy that I only studied with PRESHCO for one semester because it is such a small program (Cordoba is a small city)."
Hannah K Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile, I'm very glad to have traded a year at wellesley for a year abroad. I learned that there is a whole big world outside my college life, and I gained a lot of confidence by living abroad and solving my own problems. I also got to travel through europe and northern africa a bunch. I think I have a bett..."
Danielle B Wellesley College
"I love Denmark and after spending time here, I think I would like to attend graduate school here. The weather is terrible, but the society is pretty great. "
Allison C Wellesley College
"I became the person I've been wanting to be. It provided me the space to do so."
Jo T Wellesley College
"Yes!! I loved the program because I was able to work in London and feel what it would be like if I actually did live there. "
Stephanie P Wellesley College
"I would choose a different program within this university. My overall study abroad experience was worthwhile because of the people I met and the traveling I got to do. The academic experience was poor and hardly an experience at all. I gained a much broader cultural experience from people who I met from other European countrie..."
Victoria P Wellesley College
"My experience at DIS was probably one of the highlights of my college life. I made amazing friends through my classes and traveling, had a great relationship with my host family, and fell in love with Copenhagen. Because Copenhagen is not a touristy city, I truly felt immersed in the culture and by the end of the semester I felt..."
Ellyn S Wellesley College
"I would recommend studying abroad to every and any student. I think it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore europe. You are surrounded by people who are equally interested in looking for adventure, exploration, good friends, and a good time. I think my experience in Copenhagen is priceless. Not only would I do the whol..."
Alex H Wellesley College
"I think my study abroad experience was worthwhile. I think I could have worked harder on my Spanish, but I did gain a different perspective on life/culture in the United States and abroad. "
Sarah O Wellesley College
"Studying abroad was probably the best experience of my entire life. I met some of the most interesting people I have ever met, and saw things and places that I will never see anywhere else in the world. Cape Town is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. I hope to go back as soon as possible."
Sonrisa C Wellesley College
"I'm glad that I went abroad, but I'm even happier knowing that I'll get to return to Wellesley. I feel as if I generally liked the program more than most people in my group, but even then, I had a very hard time adjusting to the social atmosphere because of lack of commonalities. I expected a different group of people, thinking ..."
Christina T Wellesley College
"YES. It's all a very different experience for each person. I love traveling and staying with host families. It also reminds me of how there are so many different people around the world, yet we're all the same. I think what I like best is of course, not only getting to eat the food of a new place, but how your outlook is inf..."
Jessica C Wellesley College
"Definitely worthwhile."
Alexandra M Wellesley College
"Absolutely a worthwile education. Maritime politics and environmental impacts mirror that of the world, and the interdisciplinary approach connected all of the dots. I have also made lifelong friends, and great contacts for a career. "
Grace M Wellesley College
"Yes. I gained significant oral language skills, although I find my grammar to be a little lacking. Because I stayed a full year, I've practically fulfilled all the requirements for a secondary Italian major, so I'll be adding that to my first and thereby becoming a double major."
Katherine N Wellesley College
"I loved my time in New Zealand and am so happy that I decided to go there. I experienced a different approach to education and gained a better understanding of geology, different cultures, and life skills. It enforced my love of traveling."
Katharine P Wellesley College
"It was. I learned a lot about myself, most of which are things about myself that I'm not willing to share."
Katherine P Wellesley College
"The experience was worthwhile, without a doubt. Some things happened that I expected, like gaining a new perspective on the world, some things happened that didn't surprise me but I hadn't thought about, like being singled out for my looks, and some things happened that I completely did not expect, like coming back with two com..."
Stephanie Newton N Wellesley College
"I made close friends from all over the world that I will stay in touch with for the rest of my life. They introduced me to peices of their home culture and I left with a very rich, diverse cultural experience."
Natalie M Wellesley College
"ABSOLUTELY. It was a valuable opportunity to spend time abroad in a region that I've studied academically, and a great way to get a better sense of what I want to do post-Wellesley, as well as provide focus for my last year. It was a very different experience from a year at Wellesley, which I really appreciated. "
Carolyn P Wellesley College
"I could see myself moving here after college, that should say a lot."
Gabriela L Wellesley College
"I loved living with a host family and getting exposed to a different way of life. I have a completely different view of American culture and politics having lived abroad, and I think it is an integral part of college study."
Rachel S Wellesley College
"It was invaluable for me to meet people of many different cultures, and talk about differences, but mostly similarities. I hope to go back for grad school because I fell in love with Amsterdam."
Sarah P Wellesley College
"It was an amazing experience and I would go back in a heartbeat. However, I will not remember my time in London because of King's College by any means. KCL will be a footnote in the story of my time abroad. My time was made memorable because of the people I met, the traveling i did, and the time I spent getting to know London an..."
