"I mostly learned about myself and how to move to a new city and start over. I definitely think it was a great growing experience and worthwhile. It was also great to be able to travel much more easily than here in Texas. But I'd like to warn you: if you have any problems with anxiety or mental distress of any kind, it will bubbl..."

"I met lots of people from many different countries and had the opportunity to travel in Europe. I also got to experience another culture and be completely on my own. I would definitely recommend studying abroad! I enjoyed Madrid but I was ready to move on after a few months, so I think a program that takes place in a few differe..."

"Studying Abroad is an amazing experience! I had already studied abroad before but this was a completely different experience. If I could I would’ve chosen a different program but that is just personal preference. You will meet people from all over the world, even from places you’ve never heard off. I can happily say that I now h..."

"Although it was interesting to see what they were teaching here and to spend time in an Argentine classroom, I would rather just study in Texas and then come to Argentina on my own."

"The biggest thing I learned was about digital advertising in British culture through my internship. The one thing I appreciate Arcadia for is setting me up with a great company, though it wasn't like that for everyone. However, I would do this program again solely for my internship."
Deandra T The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned more of the Italian language and was assured that my plans to move to Italy were for the right reasons and was really something that I want"
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned so much about the Russian culture and that although it is different, neither the American nor the Russian culture is better."
Rebekah V The University of Texas at Austin
"It was definitely worthwhile. Sheffield wasn't my favorite city, but it was a good university, and I learned a lot by being immersed in a new environment. I was able to meet lots of people and travel to other places as well. I feel more prepared for future travel and interactions with different cultures. I feel like I've grown a..."

"I loved my experience and I gained a great connection with my host family and abroad friends! Would I chose it again? I would say "yes" because of all the good experiences that I wouldn't want to miss. However if I were to go abroad again for a second time, I would search for a program with a larger variety of art courses and mo..."

"Gaining confidence in my spanish skills was my biggest gain. I also learned how to travel cheaply."
Tyrah D The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned to be more understanding of others, open minded, and just continued to expand my borders. It was definitely worthwhile. I know this exchange and internship experience will help my network, language skills, and future job prospects. Pieces of my reviews may have been a bit harsh, but that is just due to my high level..."

"It was definitely worthwhile, I was able to learn about myself as well as others who were very different from me. Trying new cuisines that I may not have tried back in the states, and experiencing situations I would not have been able to back home. This experience has allowed me to continue to keep an open mind, and forever plan..."

"I definitely improved my German and I am happy about that, but it wasn't because of my living situation. I lived with a Host Family for 2 months before semester started and that was the best way! they were super nice and had patience. Also making an effort to eat with German local students who wouldnt change into English helped ..."
