Study Abroad Programs: Community/Environmental/Socially-Engaged Art and Activism
Embark on a transformative journey abroad, where the power of art converges with the urgency of societal change. This curriculum is crafted to empower students to utilize artistic expression as a force for activism, fostering dynamic engagement in civic dialogue, community empowerment, environmental stewardship, and the pursuit of social justice. Through a rich array of courses spanning community organizing, cultural critique, social practice, and both visual and performing arts, students explore innovative pathways to effect positive change on local and global scales.
Immersive learning experiences provide students with the tools and perspectives to navigate complex societal challenges, while hands-on engagement in community projects and interdisciplinary collaborations deepen their understanding of the intersections between art, activism, and social transformation. With comprehensive program reviews guiding their selection process, students can tailor their study abroad experience to align with their passion for using the arts as a vehicle for meaningful impact and lasting change.
