NRCSA is a program provider offering 122 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Volunteer, and Intensive Language abroad programs in 40 countries such as Argentina, Australia, Canada, and China.
NRCSA has been facilitating international education, multilingualism, and intercultural exchange since 1968. Our goal at NRCSA has always been to help facilitate intercultural communication and exchange between people from different backgrounds and cultures. The study of language and culture - and the understanding of how both transcend borders - is a crucial element in accomplishing this goal.
Since 1968, we have traveled the globe to help find, promote, develop and encourage organizations which welcome foreigners and open up their own culture and language for others to experience. Today, we work with programs in 43 countries which offer language/culture study, volunteer and internship programs for K-12, university, teachers/professors, professional development, and third age.

Study Abroad with NRCSA
"I learned how to make the best out of all situations. Even though there were things I would have changed and I might not do this exact program again, I would definitely say it was a worthwhile experience."

"Overall, I think that when you study abroad you learn a lot about yourself and what actually makes you happy. You gain ideas about what type of lifestyle will bring you the most joy and contentment in the future. It's a great opportunity to become a more self-sufficient person."
Chase L Trinity University
"I learned a lot about other cultures, I know that sounds like kind of a generic answer but it is the biggest thing that I learned. I pretty much avoided other Americans for this purpose and it was quite successful. I also was able to learn what people from other cultures think about the US and Texas, while hopefully dispelling s..."

"I learned how to speak spanish and I learned a lot about myself. I also got to see a more simple life style. It was worthwhile."

"It was definitely worthwhile. Having to navigate by myself in a country that I didn't speak the language definitely taught me a lot and was motivation to learn Spanish, which is why I went there in the first place."

"It was the most worthwhile experience I ever did. In my life I felt like I used to give up on something every time it got rough, but with this I had no choice. I had to keep going. I had more to lose than to gain by turning back. It pushed me so far out of my comfort zone that I almost didn't know what to do. We rely so heavily ..."

"Brazil has many wonderful people and I hope to return some day. I'm grateful for the friends I met, to know more of the culture, to know the kindness and the happiness of people who want to speak to you just because you can speak English. So many people want a chance to practice their English! This experience has also given me ..."

"I would go back and study abroad, in Germany, but not with this program. I can better speak the language and have met Germans whose culture is different then my own."
Amy P New Mexico State University
"I'd give it ten stars if i could! It sounds so dumb to say it changed my life but it really did. It broadened my mind and influenced me to be an interpreter rather than a teacher. "
Kayla S Tennessee Technological University
"Completely worthwhile. I recommend everyone to do at least one study abroad in their lives. You grow exponentially as a human being."
Alexandra B Hobart and William Smith Colleges
"It was one of the best experiences of my life. It has changed my views on Central America, and helped me appreciate the things I take for granted at home. In the future, I'm planning another study abroad to Spain this coming fall to continue working on my Spanish skills. Additionally, after my real family visited and fell in lov..."

"Yes this experience was worthwhile. I was nothing like I had expected but I have learned a great deal of French, I have seen many wonderful historical sites, I have met lots of interesting people and I have really grown as a person. "
Kristin M New Mexico State University
"More then words can explain, you cannot write in words how amazing the experience was."
Emily C New Mexico State University
"Studying abroad helped me learn new things I would never have learned in the United States. I loved learning how to look at things from a Japanese perspective, and immersing myself in something completely foreign to me."
Stephen B Trinity University
"Yes, it opened my eyes to a whole new culture and it helped me to understand what it is like for those who come to the U.S. to study or work and have to learn English. It can be very frustrating to not be able to convey simple ideas."
Sean B Trinity University
"Studying in France provided me with several experiences, some blindsided me and some just came over time. I developed a quick disgust for how many overweight people the USA has and how uncultured we can be. I learned much about myself. I learned how to seize the day all over again and have some fun. I learned that I can appr..."
