Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"This experience abroad truly changed not only my Duke experience but my life. It was 100% worthwhile and I honestly wish I chose to study abroad in Istanbul for a year instead of just one semester. Everything about this program was amazing and I wish I could tell every other student to choose it."
Risa P Duke University

"I really really really loved London it was such a great city filled with amazing people and things to do. I did not really like my experience at UCL, I wish I had chosen a different university. The classes were a bit too heavy/boring in my department and a lot of classes at too many American study abroad students. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was the most amazing experience I ever had. I would do it again, without any doubts. You make international friends for life, you learn so much about other cultures and it helps you develop an international perspective not only for business but also for life. It opens your mind to new things and when it is (sadly) over, you f..."

"Everything? Can I just say that? Of course it was worthwhile, I learned so much and came back a very different person. I'd rather not spend the next two hours talking about the almost infinite number of things I gained and learned from the experience, also, most of these things are indescribable, so I'll stop there."
Zachary B Baylor University

"Having been to London before, and lived in England for a year, I learned more about being an adult and how to take care of myself. I was going to school, but I was paying my bills, commuting about an hour each day, and was holding myself to a level of punctuality that made me responsible for everything I did (with no safety net)..."
Peter C Pace University

" You will never get a chance like this again. I think they'd probably arrest me if I tried to sleep inside Regent's Park these days. I gained a sense of forced independence and really learned how to be on my own for the first time. Navigating a city like London, you have no choice. I'll never forget it! "
