Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Loved the academic intensity. Didn't always feel really integrated "
A student Wellesley College
"Absolutely. I learned what it is like to cook for myself. I am now comfortable traveling alone. The easier academic schedule allowed me to spend a total of three months traveling through Europe where I met loads of amazing people. I loved my overall experience."
A student Wellesley College

"I hadn't traveled before so I think it was really great to just be somewhere other than the U.S. and get to know the culture/political climate/way of life. I also was able to travel all over Europe for not very much money, which was awesome."

"I learned a new perspective on the world. The culture that I grew up in and the culture in Taichung are very different, which I found very interesting. "Studying in Edinburgh for the year was the best decision I've made in my college career. I absolutely loved the city, the university, and the people. "I gained a new perspective on the world. I learned that friendships and relationships are more important and valuable than material possessions, as cliche as that sounds. I made friendships that I will have for the rest of my life, and I saw sights that I will never forget. Studying abroad opened my eyes to so much beyond my "sh..."
A student University of Saint Thomas - Houston
"I feel like I grew a lot as a person from experiencing the culture and living in a different place. "I learned to be much more independent. I am thoroughly in love with Tel Aviv and am so grateful for the opportunity to have started an internship I loved and meet really wonderful Israelis.
