Yes! I met new people from all over Europe, traveled everywhere across the country on my own, and learned that living and working and studying in a foreign country is a whole new experience when you compare it to home. I'd love to try to move abroad someday, or travel around again. I would love to do it again. - Longwood University View Entire Review

About

Mary Immaculate College (MIC), founded in 1898, is Ireland’s leading university-level College of Education and Liberal Arts. The College has a growing and diverse community of 3,500 students enrolled in undergraduate programmes in Education, Liberal Arts, Early Childhood Care and Education, and Theatre Studies, as well as a range of postgraduate programmes at Diploma, MA and PhD levels.

MIC is an ideal study abroad destination with our campus conveniently located in a leafy suburb just ten minutes’ walk from Limerick city centre.  Limerick is located in Ireland's Midwest region and is Ireland’s third-largest city with a population of around 60,000, half of which is under 30 years of age.  There are three institutions of higher education in Limerick leading to a vibrant student culture.  Limerick city is within easy access to all major routes, and is just 30 minutes from Shannon International Airport and close to all the most beautiful scenery and tourist destinations in the Shannon region, e.g. the Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle.

MIC has a lively international community, collaborating with more than 50 partner universities & colleges in Europe, North America, Australia and hosting over 70 international students annually.  The Students’ Union facilitates many societies and clubs, including the very active International Students’ Society.  Please have a look through our interactive International Students’ Guide for more information on what is available to international students.

MIC was the proud recipient of the Outstanding International Student Satisfaction award resulting from extensive surveying of our previous international students by StudyPortals. Staff at Mary Immaculate College sincerely put students’ welfare first, resulting in a professional and friendly atmosphere at the College.
