Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I think that the experience was worthwhile, and I wish I could go back. "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned a lot of italian, I learned a lot about the culture and politics of Rome and the history of Italy in general. It was worth every penny, every second, and even worth all the stress that came along with the visa appointments and the roommate issues, it was still amazing and I would do it all over again. "
Adina Greenidge American University
"- How to navigate through a city you don't know - Shopping at local businesses and eating at local restaurants (learning to understand the language and not seem too much like a rude American invading their country) - Learning how to use another currency - Learning how to use local transit - Walking everywhere you go, instead..."

"I liked how the language program was well-integrated with tour activities; intensive learning, tempered with unwinding social activities. This was perfect for me, because I wanted to learn Hebrew as well as tour Israel at a relaxed pace. "

A student Boston University
"Of course Yes. I've experienced the difference in many areas and got some perspectives to see widely and academic learning was also so good."
A student
"I study Political Science so being in Israel gave me a good learning experience about politics in the Middle East. But it is not just about what you learn in the class room that counts but what you learn out of it as well. If I can offer any advice I would say go and talk to everyone you can: Arabs, Jews, the Druze, everyone and..."

I left behind my experience and life back home, living everyday in the moment and challenging myself to do something new everyday. "
A student DePauw University
"Don't set your expectations too high. I feel like I had very high expectations of how amazing London would be so then had difficulty settling in to the culture as it is different than Australia. I think it was definitely worthwhile though as I have grown a lot as a person I think."
A student University of Westminster
"The qualities I gained from this incredible experience are infinite in number. I continue to discover new great things I learned with each passing day since my return. Such an adventure is priceless. "
