1. Insight into life in the DR. 2. A view of the OT profession in the DR. 3. An understanding of individual needs within the DR. 4. A comparison of best practices in the OT profession. 5. An understanding of the disparity of resources across individuals and how that has only a minor bearing on the happiness factor. - Utica College View Entire Review
I learned some great hands-on techniques to use in my own future practice. I also gained an understanding of the state of OT and healthcare in the Dominican Republic. It was a wonderful experience! - Utica College View Entire Review
For a clinical experience it was not worthwhile. I do not feel as though I learned much. - Utica College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about therapy assessment and treatment from the professors on the trip, and a lot about culture from the locals we traveled with - Utica College View Entire Review
It was worthwhile because it reassured me how much I love to travel abroad and help me at the same time. - Utica College View Entire Review

I learned how to communicate effectively with or without the use of translating the common language.
