Best Experience of my Life Past Review

By (University of Central Florida) - abroad from 02/12/2018 to 05/18/2018 with

The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Sydney - International College of Management (ICMS)

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
How events are run internationally, since I am an events management major. How to plan and event, which we did through a mock event. I grew in self independence and became more confident.

Review Your Program

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

The ICMS food was absolutely horrible we only had two option regular or vegetarian and they were both gross. They were full of grease too. We were forced to pay for the meal plan if we lived on campus.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

It was confusing to figure out the system with the program we had.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

definitely would NOT want the ICMS food though. I am scarred for life from that.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I'm not sure since I had to the meal plan but maybe $150
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? There are always local food deals around the area you just need to know what days each restaurant has them.
