Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work load was pretty small. 2-3 assignments per class per semester but weighed very heavily in percentage. Normally students will have a class once a week so you will only go to school about 3 days a week. Normally for each course you take there is a another "lab" that goes along with the class with a smaller portion of the lecture.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

There was a great orientation that prepared you for the experience! You also got to meet people that were studying abroad in different parts of the country which allowed you to make friends to possibly visit them. The location supervisor is also extremely helpful with updating students on upcoming cultural/local events. The supervisor in my area was very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I had

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a serviced apartment. Cleaned once a week. I lived one block from the beach and community center. A block away from the closest grocery store, restaurants, bars and clubs

* Food:

Expensive but very similar to american food

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Australian Rugby Games, Sydney Orientation

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Extremely Safe

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The climate and orientation
* What could be improved?
  • Class scheduling
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you are interested in warm climates and a relaxed area this is a great program for you. I would say that the campus didnt have too much of a community feel so I focused more on my travel experience which I enjoyed.
