Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload unfortunately was a bit unfair because certain students had more Chinese experience than others.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

our program administrator was accessible and supported us with information we needed.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

unfortunately living with all American students did not help my conversational Chinese. Also our area was far away from the inner city of Shanghai.

* Food:

Food was cheap, however sanitation should be carefully observed if you are going to eat anywhere in the district

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Visiting the World Expo, organized by one of our teachers as an memorable experience

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

The city of shanghai is an overall safe city, with the exception of the traffic scene there. there were no prevalent health issues to mention.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? approximately 700 RMB was spent every week on food and personal expenses
