Overall Experience
I was able to gain the beginnings of language comprehension for another language and start to grasp the ideologies of another culture. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
From being completely integrated into the language, my level of Spanish improved from intermediate to nearly fluent. My mind was also open to many new cultures (the culture of Spain in addition to cultures from all around the world from people I met). I also learned more independence and became more outgoing and less shy. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
My Spanish skills improved tremendously. I felt practically fluent by the end of the semester. Every step I took abroad was definitely worth it. - Austin College View Entire Review
Sense of a new culture and language, as well as life abroad in Europe overall. It was very worthwhile. - William Jewell College View Entire Review

Past Review
THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. IF I COULD AFFORD TO GO AGAIN--I WOULD!! and I would spend a longer time there. I learned so much, improved my language skills, became so much more independent and confident. Opened my eyes to a new culture and different way of living I knew nothing about. - Ithaca College View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with Spanish Studies Abroad: Alicante - Semester, Year or Summer in Alicante
I learned that it's okay to make a mistake. This may seem like something simple but for me it was a huge realization. Now whenever I'm speaking I feel more relaxed. I also learned that there is so much of the world to explore and you can't let the fear of the unknown stop you. - University of Wyoming View Entire Review
It was incredibly worthwhile. During my time abroad, I realized that I didn't know as much as I thought I did and it made me re-evaluate how I see myself as a student. - Susquehanna University View Entire Review
Past Review Gasp For Air
It was definitely worthwhile. I gained an understanding for a culture I have never been exposed to while easily adapting to the new environment with a welcoming host family that comfortably made me feel like a son. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
This was the best experience I have ever had. I grew up so much and learned so much about myself and the world. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My ONLY regret is that I only stayed for one semester, instead of two. - University of Georgia View Entire Review
Past Review Life Enhancing
I gained everything. It was completely worthwhile. I learned so much about life and gained a whole new perspective on different cultures. - Ithaca College View Entire Review
I think it was worthwhile. I expanded vocabulary and my confidence in speaking the language improved the more I practiced and spoke. I thought that the grammar classes were extremely helpful, especially practicing with students from everywhere. I think my eyes opened even more to the cultures outside of the USA, and yet, it didn... - Hollins University View Entire Review
I felt it was a highly valuable trip, as well as an enriching learning opportunity. I was able to truly see how another culture lives. Although it was at times hard to adjust, I was glad I was able to broaden my cultural horizons, and be open to a brand new experience. - Birmingham-Southern College View Entire Review
