What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I was able to greatly improve my Spanish proficiency. I learned about a different culture and way of living outside of the US. I learned to live on my own and take risks.

My experience being a black woman was very different from the other girls in my program and I wasn't expecting nor was I prepared for some of the interactions I had with locals. |
