About

The Pacific Discovery South America Program  is an inspiring educational travel semester through Ecuador and Peru’s incredible cultural and environmental diversity. It combines immersive Spanish language study, hands-on service learning projects and amazing educational adventure travel. Gain insight into the lives of indigenous Andean and Amazon communities; be astounded by Machu Picchu, the spectacular Colca Canyon, beautiful Lake Titicaca and the incredible wildlife in the Galapagos Islands. The program has a strong experiential focus. Participants get involved in service learning projects, have opportunities for meaningful connections with local people, gain knowledge of South America’s history, societies and environments, push personal boundaries and develop their leadership skills.Facilitated by our supportive and experienced program leaders, this is an excellent study abroad or gap year option for students wanting to develop personal and leadership skills, and be immersed in cultures different to their own. The program is open to high school graduates, university students and graduates, ideally 18 – 24 years.
