A student studying abroad with Middlebury Schools Abroad: Middlebury in Berlin
My German improved greatly, I made wonderful friends, and I learned how to assimilate in a new culture. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Fun
I reaffirmed my love for Germany, and discovered my love of Berlin! - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes! I had a fantastic time learning how to be an adult and live completely on my own. I feel that I have experienced a tremendous amount of self-growth and would not change my experience for anything (even if I wouldn't necessarily do the same program again). - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Past Review Exciting!
I gained the ability to completely navigate a foreign city alone - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Berlin Bonkers!
I learned a lot about cultural standards, specifically targeted toward German culture, but in my personal experience I encounter people from many different cultures because Berlin is an international city. It was worthwhile because through encountering others I learned a lot about myself and my behaviors. - Wellesley College View Entire Review

About

Founded in 1959, the Middlebury C.V. Starr School in Germany provides students with the opportunity to experience one of two diverse sites. By studying and living alongside their German peers, students have the unique chance to improve their German while choosing courses from the entire academic curriculum

In Berlin, students can enjoy a metropolitan experience in a city of 3.5 million inhabitants while taking courses at Freie Universität, one of the capital's two public universities. Enrolling in courses in any number of disciplines, students study and live in this very international, yet very German city.
