About

The intern will be working alongside Paul Rice, the present Project Director, and from him you will learn the tasks associated with this position. Paul, who oversees the La Giraudière project, is a director and shareholder of an SCI in France, he also operates an Enterprise Individual, plus he is the vision for Les Amis or Bénévoles de La Giraudière, the non-profit association registered in France. The three different organizations together represent the La Giraudière Project.

The internship will centre around the day to day running of the project and will also touch some aspects of the other programs. Apart from learning about the administration side of the project, your competence in speaking French, or English, and knowledge of the language will be assessed and improved. Each week interns benefit from a half day lesson in a group and two half days each week on a one-to-one basis with our French teachers.

French Related: Internships at La Giraudiere are French related and include 4 hours per week one to one French lessons.
International Selection & Recruitment: The role will involve dealing with enquiries (French and English speakers) received from around the globe from potential applicants wishing to take part on the La Giraudière Project. (volunteers, interns, university and school trips) Accountancy & Book keeping: Accuracy in bookkeeping and accountancy is just as in important in the non profit sector if not more so.  Interns can learn basic book keeping, double entry and producing accounts up to trail balance.
Event planning,  Community service & Fund raising:  Events planned at La Giraudiere offer a community service and aid us in the fund raising for the project so what better way to take on board the a fore mentioned categories than to take an internship with a non profit organisation that offer volunteer programs in France.
Marketing, Social Media, information technology and Website developer: The project at La Giraudiere requires a global audience  so internet and social media are essential but  This internship will show you how La Giraudière uses and blends the new and the old methods to acquire it’s goals.

The main difference is our internships is they are all in by this we mean the  learning internship, the language course, your accommodation, your meals, transfers and a whole lot more are all in one place at La Giraudiere.
