What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Absolutely, learned more outside of the classroom than in it, so worthwhile I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the chance

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes are different, less assessments compared to classes in the US, not taken as serious or vigorously interacting with professors as it is at my home university

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

never met with anyone apart of my host program administration

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

poor kitchens, no ovens, concrete floors, showers get bathroom floors flooded with water, but individuals rooms was the best part and balcony access.

* Food:

there was no dinning halls avaliable and food on campus was a bit expensive for students on a budget

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved the Australians they were very welcoming and helpful with any and all questions you had for them, including the best places to travel in Australia

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

we were presented with overseas health care service if applicable. N/A for me

* Safety:

I felt 100% safe walking to and from the village and throughout campus

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 100.00-150.00 during some weeks
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Australia is more expensive and students need to be prepared to pay a little more for items we generally get for cheaper cost in the US

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
